The Rules of the Road
1. Who These Terms Apply To
These Terms of Service apply to all users of OffGridStaffing.com, including Trekkies (job seekers), employers, staffing agencies, ambassadors, and local business advertisers. By creating an account or using any OGS service, you agree to these terms.
2. Trekkies Are Always Free
OGS will never charge a Trekkie (job seeker) to create a profile, appear on the RadarMap, receive job matches, or use any core OGS feature. This is a permanent unconditional commitment. No exceptions.
3. Employer and Agency Fees
Employers and staffing agencies pay a flat monthly subscription to use OGS. Founding Employers and Founding Agencies pay $89 per month. Founding Advertisers pay $29 per month. Founding members who join during the founding year are charged no per-hire fee — your monthly subscription covers unlimited job posts, connections, and hires. Agencies use the same posting tools as employers; OGS does not take a percentage of agency placements or bill rates. All pricing is shown clearly before you subscribe, and you may cancel at any time.
3a. Founding Member Rate Commitment
OGS founding members — employers, agencies, and advertisers who joined during the founding year (May 30, 2026 through May 30, 2027) — are locked at their founding subscription rate for the life of their account. This commitment survives any change in ownership or control of OffGrid Staffing, LLC. Any successor entity or acquirer of OGS inherits all founding member rate commitments in full. The only way a founding rate is forfeited is if the member cancels their account and later rejoins, in which case the then-current standard rate applies.
4. No Ghost Jobs
Employers who post jobs on OGS are required to respond to matched Trekkie inquiries within 48 hours. Failure to respond results in suspension of posting privileges. OGS reserves the right to remove any job posting that does not represent a genuine, active hiring need.
5. Accurate Information
All users are required to provide accurate information in their profiles and job postings. Misrepresentation of skills, credentials, job requirements, or pay rates is grounds for immediate account termination without refund.
6. Ambassador Program
Ambassadors earn commissions on paying accounts they personally refer. Commissions are paid monthly on active accounts. OGS reserves the right to adjust commission rates for new ambassadors. Founding Ambassador rates are locked permanently for accounts referred during the founding year. Ambassadors do not earn commissions on other ambassadors they refer. The OGS Ambassador program is not a multi-level marketing scheme.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use OGS to post fraudulent job listings, harvest contact information, spam other users, circumvent the OGS matching process to avoid paying fees, or engage in any activity that violates applicable law. Violations result in immediate account termination.
8. Limitation of Liability
OGS is a matching platform. We are not an employer, staffing agency, or employment agency. We do not guarantee job placement, worker performance, or employer reliability. OGS is not liable for disputes between employers and workers that arise after a match is made. OGS also offers personal gig and event listings ('blips'), which are one-off postings by individuals (for example, a yard sale or a personal task). OGS only connects people through blips and is not responsible for, and does not vet, screen, or verify, any blip poster, responder, or arrangement. Contact information on a blip is shared publicly by the poster's own choice. Any interaction arising from a blip is solely between the individuals involved, and OGS bears no liability for it. Our total liability to any user is limited to fees paid to OGS in the 30 days preceding the claim.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Multnomah County, Oregon.
10. Changes to These Terms
OGS may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of OGS after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
