When Does the Founding Year End?
The founding year ends exactly 12 months after OGS launches on May 30, 2026. After May 30, 2027, founding membership is closed permanently. No exceptions. No extensions.
The badges, the locked rates, and the founding status will never be available again. If you are reading this before May 30, 2027, you still have time. After that, the window closes forever.

Founding Member FAQ
What exactly does "locked forever" mean?
It means your monthly rate will never increase. Ever. When OGS raises prices for new members — and we will — your rate stays exactly where it is today. If you join as a Founding Employer at $89/month, you pay $89/month in 2030, 2035, and beyond. The only way your rate changes is if you cancel and rejoin, in which case you would pay the current rate at that time.
What if I join and then cancel? Can I get my founding rate back?
No. If you cancel your founding membership, your founding status is permanently forfeited. If you rejoin after canceling, you rejoin at the current standard rate. This is why we recommend staying active even during slow periods — the founding rate is worth far more than the monthly cost.
Is the founding year really only one year?
Yes. The founding year runs from May 30, 2026 to May 30, 2027. After that date, founding membership is closed permanently. We will not extend it. We will not make exceptions. The founding year is a one-time event.
Do I have to pay anything to become a Founding Trekkie?
No. Trekkies are always free. Founding Trekkie status is free and permanent. You just need to create your profile before May 30, 2027.
What happens to my founding rate if OGS gets acquired or changes ownership?
Your founding rate is a contractual commitment that transfers with any ownership change. Any acquirer of OGS inherits all founding member commitments. This is documented in our Terms of Service.
Can I be a Founding Member in multiple categories?
Yes. If you are both an employer and an ambassador, you can hold Founding Employer and Founding Ambassador status simultaneously. Each category has its own founding rate and badge.
